When the Company receives a request from the principal, the Company will respond appropriately in accordance with the law regarding disclosure of contents, correction, addition, deletion and suspension and elimination.

Basic Policy on Proper Handling of Individual Numbers and Specific Personal Information

The Company recognizes the importance of individual numbers and specific personal information (hereinafter collectively, “Specific Personal Information, etc.”) and is committed to protect Specific Personal Information, etc. in accordance with the following policy:

1.Compliance with related laws and regulations/guidelines

The Company complies with the “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures” and related laws and regulations, guidelines and other rules.

2.Acquisition of Specific Personal Information, etc.

  1. The Company acquires Specific Personal Information, etc. within the scope provided for by law specifying the purpose of use of such information.
  2. The Company confirms the identification of an individual when acquiring his/her individual number pursuant to the provisions of the laws and regulations.

3.Use of Specific Personal Information, etc.

  1. The Company may use Specific Personal Information, etc. for the following purposes.
    (i) Purpose of use of Specific Personal Information, etc. of persons who have any business relationship with the Company:
    • for preparation and submission of payment records regarding remunerations, fees, contract money and awards; and
    • for preparation and submission of payment records regarding real-estate transactions.
    (ii) Purpose of use of Specific Personal Information, etc. of employees (including former employees) of the Company and their respective family members:
    • for preparation and submission of forms for withholding certificate, application for (change in) exemption for dependents of employment income earner, return forms relating to retirement income;
    • for preparation and submission of forms for application for exemption for insurance premiums/application for special spousal exemption of employment income earner;
    • for preparation and submission of forms for health insurance, employees’ pension insurance;
    • for preparation and submission of forms for withholding certificate regarding payment of pensions and lump-sum allowances for defined-benefit pension;
    • for preparation and submission of forms for health insurance, employees’ pension insurance;
    • for preparation and submission of forms for property accumulation residence savings, property accumulation pension savings and other property accumulation;
    • for preparation and submission of payment records of pensions and lump-sum allowances for life insurance contracts; and
    • other affairs incidental to the foregoing.
  2. If the Company entrusts any service handling Specific Personal Information, etc. to a third party, it will give strict consideration in examining and selecting the third party to be entrusted, and exercise the necessary and appropriate supervision over the party so entrusted so that the secure management of Specific Personal Information, etc. is ensured.

4.Management of Specific Personal Information, etc.

The Company is committed to maintain the accuracy of Specific Personal Information, etc. and takes any appropriate measure to prevent any unauthorized access to, or loss, destruction, falsification, divulgation, etc. of Specific Personal Information, etc.

5.Entrustment of handling of Specific Personal Information, etc.

If the Company entrusts an external party with any part of the handling of Specific Personal Information, etc., it will take any appropriate measure including establishing by contract the responsibility for management of such external party.

6.Provision of Specific Personal Information, etc. to a third party

The Company does not provide Specific Personal Information, etc. to any third party unless provided for by law.

7.Disclosure of Specific Personal Information, etc.

The Company responses to any request for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, discontinuation of use or erasure of information made by the relevant individual, in accordance with the laws and regulations and in an appropriate manner.
